Soy Pony is a sketch comedy troupe based in New York City, featuring Chrissy Bisbee, Katrin Nugent, and Elly Silberstein. They perform monthly at Caveat NYC.

Actor/WriterChrissy Bisbee (she/her) is a New York based actor, writer and comedian. She is a founding member of the woman/non-binary lead NYC based sketch trio, Soy Pony, which is a show about being silly and celebrating big characters. She’s had roles in various short films; recently she was the lead in “F*** His Dad” which was an official selection for the 2022 New York Short Film Festival, and finalist for best comedy. She graduated from Pace University in 2019 with a BFA in Acting for Film, Television, Voice Overs, and Commercials. Since then, she has been acting, improvising, playing with her cat, and trying to figure out how to cook meals that aren’t frozen first. It’s going well!

Actor/WriterElly Silberstein, (she/they), is an NYC based actor, writer, comedian, and producer. They are one of the founding members of the sketch troupe “Soy Pony”, which has performed regularly at Caveat, Asylum NYC, and BCC. Film/TV credits include Newsreaders (Adult Swim), and Me Earl and the Dying Girl (Fox Searchlight Pictures). Theatre credits include Peter and the Starcatcher (Schaeberle Studio Theatre) and Men On Boats (Access Theatre). Elly received their BFA in Acting from Pace University. During her time at Pace, Elly performed in the improv troupe “Yes Anderson” and spent a summer training in clown under Philippe Gaulier in Étampes, France. She is a member of SAG/AFTRA. Yes, Elly is jewish, and yes, Santa still brings her presents every year.

Actor/WriterKatrin Nugent (they/them) is an NYC based writer, actor, and comedian. They make up one third of NYC based sketch comedy group Soy Pony, having performed at Caveat, Asylum, and BCC. Katrin spent three years (2019- 2022) playing various background roles on Saturday Night Live, working more than 20 episodes total. They are currently working on their new film Bleu which will shoot this fall. They graduated from Pace University with a BFA in Film, Television, Voiceovers, and Commercials. While at Pace, they directed improv troupe Yes Anderson and spent a summer training at Improv Olympic in Chicago. When not on stage, Katrin is busy trying out material on the 12 year old and 14 month old they nanny.

Paula Christensen (she/her) studied sketch comedy and improv at the legendary Groundlings Theater in Los Angeles where she performed weekly on the main stage as part of their Sunday Company. She also studied, performed and/ or directed sketch at I.O. West, UCB and countless other theaters on the West and East coasts. She has taught improv at Improvolution in New York City and is an adjunct professor at PACE University where she teaches sketch and comedy writing. An award winning actor, she has directed, produced and performed extensively in theater, television and film, and is a proud union member of SAG/ AFTRA and AEA.

Augusta Fitzgerald (she/her) is an actor and comedian based in Brooklyn. She received her BFA in Acting from Pace University and was the 2023 scholarship recipient for the Uta Hagen Summer Intensive at HB Studios. She has also studied and performed with UCB, Second City, Brooklyn Comedy Collective, and The Comedy Cellar. She recently wrapped production on the upcoming film, Mourning Sickness. She lives with four young women: Rosie and Bug (cats) & Mikayla and Cassidy (human).

Austin (he/him) is a New York based Actor, writer, and sketch comedian originally from a small town in central Ohio. No he did not grow up on a farm- but yes he does love corn. Austin got his start in acting like most did: A teacher in middle school saying “we need more guys in this show” to which Austin replied, “ok.” and the rest is history. (Pace University BFA Acting)

A graduate from LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts and Pace University with a BFA in Acting for Film and TV, he is currently working through the Improv levels at the UCB Theatre. Jess Elgene (she/her) is a Brooklyn-based comedian and singer-songwriter whose solo show, Less of a Man, has played to audiences all over the country and can next be seen at Littlefield on 11/26. She was named a Content Creator to Watch at the New York Comedy Festival and her play, Navelgazing, received a reading off-Broadway in 2020. She is a member of UCB’s Harold Night and was a Mainstage cast member for Asylum NYC, where she performed along the likes of Colin Mochrie (Whose Line…?), Roy Wood Jr. (The Daily Show), Marcello Hernandez (SNL), and more.
